About Me
Hi, my name is Amy Gonzales, and I teach K-5 music at East Elementary in Littleton, Colorado. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. I did my Orff Schulwerk Level I and II certifications through Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. I recently completed my Master's in eLearning Design and Implementation from the University of Colorado Denver.
I love teaching children music! Coming to work and sharing my passion for music is a dream come true. It is exciting to watch children explore, problem solve and create music. Technology allows me to expand my classroom to a larger audience and the combined resources are endless.
At home, I have a beautiful family, and we enjoy spending time together biking, skiing, going to the mountains, and being together.
Education Philosophy
I believe as an educator, my job is to teach children how to believe in themselves and do their best. Children can do more than we think they can and they always need a challenge in front of them. The motto in my classroom is "Never, never, ever give up!" and I expect my students to adhere to this principle. We learn by doing, and I love using hands-on activities and creativity.
